The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, joined community elders, market leaders, and residents today as His Excellency, Governor Senator Uba Sani CON, officially commissioned the newly reconstructed Zango Road.

The critical transit corridor links three major constituencies and connects Kaduna's largest animal and livestock market from the Western Bypass directly through to the Central Market and the Eastern Bypass. The commissioning ceremony took place shortly after the Governor opened the New Old Panteka Market Road project.

The reconstruction resolves a 15-year infrastructural deadlock during which community members and traders repeatedly appealed to successive administrations for intervention. The completed road drastically simplifies the transportation of livestock, feeds, and agricultural goods, reducing travel times and cutting operational costs for transporters and traders. Additionally, the improved network creates seamless access to key public institutions, including the Centre of Excellence at PHC Kinkinau.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Rayyan Hussain praised Governor Uba Sani for prioritizing projects that directly unlock economic potential at the grassroots level.

"For over 15 years, the people of Zango appealed for this road, and it is Governor Uba Sani who listened and delivered," Hon. Rayyan Hussain stated. "This road transforms commercial transit around our livestock market, creates jobs, and seamlessly connects our communities to healthcare and trade hubs. The people of Kaduna South have seen the tangible results of visionary governance. We stand firmly behind His Excellency's continued leadership and remain dedicated to supporting his mandate beyond 2027 to ensure this momentum of development continues uninterrupted."
