During the session, Hon. Rayyan Hussain shared the developmental journey of the council, tracing its history, structural growth, and current achievements. He provided the fellows with pragmatic insights into the complexities of local government administration, discussing the real-world challenges local leaders face and outlining the essential skills young people must cultivate as they prepare for future leadership roles.

The engagement coincided with the official presentation of the RaySCALE Fellowship Progress Report, which demonstrated measurable impact across grassroots civic participation, policy advocacy, and community engagement tracks.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain emphasized that the primary goal of establishing the fellowship is to build a sustainable pipeline of community-rooted, ethical leaders from Kaduna South who possess a deep understanding of grassroots governance.

"When His Excellency, Governor Senator Uba Sani CON, assumed office, he made it clear that the SUSTAIN Agenda is targeted toward holistic development, with youth capacity building as a central pillar," Hon. Rayyan Hussain stated. "Through the RaySCALE Fellowship, we are directly domesticating and actualizing this vision. Our objective is to ensure that wherever these young leaders find themselves in the future, they understand leadership from the grassroots and appreciate the vital role active citizenship plays in community building."
