Met at a mere 15% completion rate when Governor Uba Sani assumed office, the newly asphalted corridor transforms a route previously marred by potholes and dust into a thriving arterial link between Kaduna South and Chikun Local Government Areas.

The strategic highway serves as the backbone of the region's industrial hub, directly servicing multi-billion-naira commercial enterprises. The completion of the road facilitates heavy freight logistics, enables local farmers to move goods efficiently to market, reduces transit times for civil servants and students, and boosts income for commercial transporters and local roadside businesses.

Residents from Makera and across Kaduna South turned out in large numbers to celebrate the project handover. To date, the Uba Sani administration has initiated over 160 road projects spanning 1,335 kilometers across the 23 LGAs of Kaduna State, maintaining a 60% completion rate while completing inherited, abandoned projects.

Speaking at the commissioning, Hon. Rayyan Hussain highlighted the immediate economic benefits for local workers and businesses.

"Governor Uba Sani CON has turned a neglected corridor into a powerhouse of commerce for Makera and the broader industrial core of Kaduna South," Hon. Rayyan Hussain stated. "By connecting major manufacturing plants to transit routes and neighboring local governments, His Excellency is securing jobs and driving real economic capacity. The overwhelming turnout from our people demonstrates their deep gratitude and firm commitment to supporting Governor Uba Sani’s visionary leadership into 2027 and beyond."
