The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, appeared before the Joint Budget Committee organized by the Kaduna State Ministry of Local Government Affairs for the council’s 2027 Local Government Budget Defence.

The draft budget reflects direct public input gathered during the recent Kaduna South Budget Town Hall Meeting, ensuring that public expenditure directly addresses grassroots priorities. Building upon the successful revitalization of the local healthcare sector, Hon. Rayyan Hussain highlighted that the 2027 fiscal strategy will prioritize major investments in public education and critical infrastructure, while sustaining growth across secondary sectors.

During the presentation, the Chairman commended the institutional framework established by the state government to align local planning with state development goals. He extended appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, and the Honourable Commissioner for the Planning and Budget Commission, Hon. Mukhtar Ahmed Monrovia, for leading a rigorous defense exercise that enhances fiscal transparency and service delivery.
