The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, today flagged off the local distribution of free fertilizer under the statewide agricultural support programme initiated by His Excellency, Governor Senator Uba Sani CON.

Consultants managing the statewide program praised the Kaduna South flag-off as the most orderly and best-organized exercise witnessed across all local government areas visited so far.

The distribution is part of Governor Uba Sani’s massive intervention delivering 500 trucks of free fertilizer and mechanization equipment to support 150,000 smallholder farmers across Kaduna State's 23 Local Government Areas. Within Kaduna South, the initiative will directly empower over 7,500 small-scale farmers, building upon last year's delivery of more than 3,000 bags of fertilizer to local agricultural workers.

Speaking during the launch, Hon. Rayyan Hussain emphasized that two dedicated distribution centers will remain fully operational until all designated beneficiaries receive their inputs. He reiterated that while the local government council is responsible for compiling and submitting beneficiary lists to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry handles the direct text message dispatches to individual farmers.

"We will enforce strict compliance and high organizational standards throughout this exercise," Hon. Rayyan Hussain stated. "Any attempt to sabotage this process in Kaduna South is a direct attack on Governor Uba Sani’s grassroots initiative, and it will not be tolerated from anyone, regardless of position. We remain fully committed to ensuring these inputs reach the genuine farmers who need them most."
