The distribution of free essential medicines provided by His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON has commenced across all Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in Kaduna South Local Government, further strengthening access to affordable healthcare for residents.

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, supervised the distribution of the medicines to healthcare facilities across the Local Government. This represents the second batch of medicines distributed in less than six months, highlighting the continued commitment of the Kaduna State Government to improving access to essential healthcare services at the grassroots.

The medicines will be made available to residents at a 70 per cent subsidy across participating healthcare facilities, enabling more families to access essential treatment at significantly reduced costs. The intervention is expected to support residents, particularly those who may face financial barriers to accessing necessary medicines.

Since the beginning of the administration, healthcare has remained a key priority of the Kaduna South Local Government, with deliberate efforts focused on ensuring that residents have equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare services.
