The construction of a new and expanded Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Tudun Nupawa has reached an advanced stage, following efforts to address the growing healthcare needs of the community.

A baseline assessment conducted by the Kaduna South Local Government administration after assuming office identified the existing PHC in Tudun Nupawa as overstretched and unable to adequately serve the growing population. In response, plans were initiated for the construction of a larger and more modern healthcare facility.

The construction was made possible through the partnership between the administration of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON and the World Bank-supported IMPACT Project. With the construction phase now significantly advanced, Kaduna South Local Government has taken over the responsibility of completing the furnishing and equipping of the facility.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, expressed optimism that the new healthcare centre will be commissioned in the coming month, subject to the completion of the remaining preparations. The facility is expected to significantly improve access to healthcare services for residents of Tudun Nupawa and surrounding communities.
