The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, chaired the Council Security Meeting to conduct a comprehensive review of ongoing measures aimed at safeguarding lives and properties across the council area.

The meeting highlighted measurable progress in curbing criminal activities, with a significant reduction in petty thefts and youth thuggery across local communities. This improvement was attributed to a dual strategy: providing enhanced operational support to security agencies and executing targeted youth empowerment initiatives. Through the provision of business capital, vocational skills training, and permanent, pensionable employment opportunities, the administration has successfully redirected at-risk youth toward productive endeavors.

Council members and security heads formulated forward-looking strategies to sustain these gains and expand youth empowerment coverage across all wards in Kaduna South.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain commended security personnel and local partners for their dedicated service, emphasizing that local security strategies remain fully aligned with the overarching peace and security agenda of His Excellency, Governor Senator Uba Sani CON.
