The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, has been recognized with two prestigious awards: Best Performing Chairman of the Year 2026 and Best Chairman for the Welfare of Corps Members, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and commitment to grassroots development.

Since assuming office, Hon. Rayyan Hussain has prioritized strategic collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), yielding transformative outcomes for the council area. Key among these achievements is the targeted deployment of NYSC Medical Doctors and Laboratory Scientists to strengthen service delivery in local Primary Healthcare Centres, as well as NYSC Science teachers to elevate STEM education standards across public secondary schools.

Reacting to the honors, Hon. Rayyan Hussain attributed the achievements to team effort and dedicated the awards to the Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani CON. He emphasized that the council’s progress is a direct reflection of the Governor's broader vision under the SUSTAIN Agenda.
