Governor Uba Sani Flags Off 11 Township Roads in Zaria Under Phase II Urban and Rural Renewal Drive

His Excellency, Governor Senator Uba Sani CON, has officially flagged off the construction of eleven strategic township roads across four major locations in Zaria and Sabon Gari under Phase II of the Kaduna State Urban Renewal and Rural Transformation Programme.
Thousands of joyous residents, traditional rulers, and community leaders defied heavy rainfall to celebrate the flag-off ceremony. The high-impact infrastructure projects, awarded to reputable construction firms Mothercat Limited and CGC Nigeria Limited, are designed to enhance inter-community connectivity, boost commercial activities, and elevate living standards across the historic region.
Speaking at the event, Governor Uba Sani expressed deep gratitude to the people of Zaria and Sabon Gari for their warm reception and unwavering faith in the state government's developmental agenda.
"That thousands of our people stood patiently in the rain to welcome us was more than a ceremonial gesture; it was a powerful expression of hope, resilience, and confidence in our shared vision for a greater Kaduna State," Governor Uba Sani stated. “Beyond constructing roads, our vision is about connecting communities to opportunity, restoring public confidence, and building a more prosperous, inclusive, and united Kaduna State where no community is left behind.”
Since taking office on May 29, 2023, the Uba Sani administration has initiated 150 road projects covering over 1,355 kilometers across all 23 Local Government Areas in Kaduna State, with the overwhelming majority completed.
Joining in the celebration, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, commended Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to balanced subnational development that touches both urban hubs and rural communities.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by prominent leaders, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen GCON; the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli; and former Governor Ramalan Yero.
